I do not like french keyboards!

Ok despite the rumors, I am not going back to the US. I was going to due to illness, but I thought it would be the biggest mistake of my life. So with much happiness from my teachers, family, and friends I returned to my village very happy. My host brother even traveled all the way to Lome to try and convince me to come back, but I had already decided to do so. I am sorry it has taken so long to write again. Computers are usually hard to come by here. Alphonse and I went to Kpalime this morning for the net and other things.

As far as comments on the last post are concerned, this is not a censored jornal. Sara is my best friend and I love her so much! If she says hotmail sucks ass then so be it. It is true anyways...

I love you all, no more fighting! Ill type again soon!

Dear Jess,

I'm glad you decided to stay. I was afraid you would have regretted leaving. Make the most of your time there. Remember, everything will be right in the end and if it doesn't seem that way now, it isn't the end. Be safe. Take care, hope to hear from you again soon. :)

Hey it's Troy aka Liet, and I just wanted to say hi eh? I'm glad that you decided to say, even though I miss you, because I'm sure you'll experience many things the average person will not ever experience in their entire life. It must be pretty cool to have your own house in Africa. And with only 500 people in the village, you prolly get to know a lot of them eh?
I hope your french is coming along nicely. J'espere que votre francais deviendra plus bon que le mien, si ce n'est pas deja plus bon :) Then you could me a few things about the language :p Anyways I'm sure you'll learn to like the french keyboards; I bet it's easier to put in all your dang accents with it eh? :D
Anyways, it's aboot time for me to go, gotta get ready for work. oh btw I got a job :p
Now for real, I'm off.
Have fun and learn lots,
Troy aka Liet

I would have been shocked if you had made it home.

I agree that coming home so soon would be a regrettable decision.

Enjoy your stay Jess. Teach, learn, live! That is why you went, that is why you will stay.

Take care of yourself.

Hi, Jessica,

Did you name the mice yet??? Pretend that they're cute or something...maybe if you put their food in one corner of the house they will only go there and not bother you...(I know, that's not really funny...). I suppose you can chase them out with a broom...Do you have a broom??? Maybe you can throw water on them (????????).. I, personally would be standing on a chair, screaming like your mother, Aunt Teri, Aunt Tammy, and I did one night when one of our cats brought in this little fuzzy mouse when I opened the front door...your Uncle Patrick, however, was laughing his head off at us for TWO BLOODY HOURS or so while Lucky batted it back and fourth under the buffet in the dining room....then she ate the poor little thing...(This story can absolutely be verified..)

Would you describe to us what your new home looks like??? I know you told your mother that it's beautiful...I heard you were given the most beautiful home because the people there thought you were so beautiful...

Since I speak a bit of French, I believe I would be able to understand what you write on the keyboard---I understand you are speaking fluent French most of the time...Spanish was my HS Major and French and Music my minors...

Love,
Grandma Andrea

Oh Lovie, I miss you. I'm glad you're feeling better and especially glad to hear you're being well taken care of. Be careful! I need to write you a real letter soon. I've been working (literally)every day for the last month so I haven't had much time to do anything else. No excuse though. I think of you often. Theres a little girl named Emily at the preschool where I work, and she has your eyes. Of course, as she's barely even 2, she's much sweeter than you. lol Love you, Jess.
